Shabby chic Christmas ideas

If you decorate your home with a shabby chic theme, then why not match your Christmas decorations with the rest of your home?

Shabby chic Christmas decorations are becoming more popular and finding themselves in many people's homes. Their lovely style has a homely feel and make amazing quality gifts for anyone!

There are lots of common materials you see when it comes to shabby chic Christmas decorations, such as ribbons, lace, wood, pearls and different embellishments. The colours tend to be Christmas related, like silver and gold, but you also see a lot of white wash decorations - which is where the homely feel comes into perspective.

Shabby chic Christmas decorations and gifts can be purchased from many websites and stores. Websites such as Etsy are my favourite to find handmade or personalised items.

If you're buying a shabby chic item for a gift then it's always nice to add that personal touch, such as a handmade card to match the aesthetic of your gift, us shabby chic lovers go nuts for handmade items!

Items bought from stores such as ornaments and decorations can sometimes feel tacky and are not always the best quality - meaning you have to throw them away and buy new ones each year. What I love about shabby chic items is they tend to be much better quality, look nicer and are inexpensive.

Even if you're not looking to spend much on a gift, Shabby chic items can be a great option. There are lots of pretty items out there (online and in store) which you can cost little to nothing, but look a lot more expensive than they actually are.

You can't go wrong with shabby chic Christmas themed ornaments and decorations!
